The Cursed Bear – Part 2

The Cursed Bear – Part 2

Recap – The teddy freaked her out even more than the disappearing cashier! She was so scared that she was about to close the door, but Teddy held it and said, “I need you to come with me. “My kingdom is in great danger, and I need you to help me!” he said. Liz was speechless listening to her teddy talk.

Just as Liz snapped out of her freaky thoughts, the big, giant teddy asked with a disturbed expression, “Will you! Will you please!” he pleaded. Poor Liz was vastly unclear about what she should do.

She kept glancing at her teddy just to witness a worried yet pleading face. After an immense struggle between her heart and mind, she was all ready for her unsure adventure.  She answered, “I shall do it for you and your kingdom, but please inform mum and papa.” “Thank you, friend! Thank you so much! We shall leave now. Please carry your necessary belongings- Like that transparent liquid, you drink? I don’t know what it is called something like wa-re-t, no no um wa-tre?” “It’s water” “ahh yes water, please carry water, we don’t have any on our land.”

Liz opened the wobbly wardrobe, climbed up the first two shelves, and pulled out a brown bag, still struggling to reach the bag’s handle.  She wasn’t sure how long she’d stay put. The teddy stood in the chamber corner, looking at Liz with a concerned face. He wasn’t sure a human would require so many things they put on their bodies (clothes).

After not-so-entertaining 15 minutes, Liz lifted the bag’s handle and flung it over her shoulder. She was wholly ready for this risky escapade. Mr. Teddy looked at her stuffedbackpack in shock. Didn’t he know why a human would require an entire backpack for maybe a one-month trip?

Still, he waved his furry hand in shock, “Open tunnel to Fremp World,” he said. “Fremp world?” thought Liz. Just then, a purple and blue whirl appeared out of nowhere in front of Liz and Teddy. Teddy offered his hand so that Liz didn’t totally freak out. Liz held his soft hand and stepped in with small, scared steps into the whirl.

As she tried to process what had happened, she entered a dark, gloomy, dry place. The fire was at its angriest. The wind was dry. So dry that it almost choked Liz. Once again, Teddy opened another portal, this time, as soon as they stepped in, Liz was so very gleeful. There was a giant castle in the far end of the sweet pink grassland. It was far better than her dreams. The trees were sky blue, and the leaves were a texture of orange and yellow. They looked like fluffy cotton candy. Liz’s eyes shone as she looked at the beautiful sight.
