The Cursed Bear – Part 3

Recap – Trees were sky blue, the leaves were a texture of orange and yellow, they looked like fluffy cotton candy. Liz’s eyes shone as she looked at the beautiful sight.

As Liz stood admiring the beautiful sight, Teddy gently tapped her back with his little fluffy hand, making Liz jump out of fright. She held her chest and knelt, while her breathing remained heavy. She finally contended with her sudden shock. Not soon after, Teddy spoke up, “Dear Liz, why don’t you hurry up so we can scurry off. We shall not let her wait or she might gobble down us.”

“Who is her?” questioned Liz, her face resembling a big, giant question mark. “Her; the one each citizen fears, Her; who can make anything disappear with a snap of her fingers, Her; the evil witch. Venheiter Preslin, a witch who every creature would never go against, ever! Unless they choose to die! Never!” Poor Liz stood there with a mouth so wide open that even a frog could jump into her mouth. How could she deal with a horrifying witch all by herself? Liz didn’t know what feeling she was possessing. Was it fright? Was it anger? Was it glee? Or was it fear or anxiety? She had no clue, and she didn’t want to know either.

She finally spoke up, “Well Teddy, don’t you think a little girl like myself will be too tiny to handle such a… hmmm… difficult mission alone?” little did Liz know that Teddy had already spoken to a bunch of other critters to help them form the ‘Fight Venheiter Preslin Army.’

“My dear” he continued, “Oh well well, you’re in luck young lady. I have presented this idea to Blimey, mickey, Amfrodeth, Cheesy, Barney, Kaki, Gigi, and Herlamen.” “Who are they, Teddy?” “These critters are my friends who shall help us fight Venheiter Preslin. Ay yo, there I must call them now.” Teddy then spun around three times, rubbed his belly twice, and burped once in a gruesome manner. Liz was slightly disgusted, but she trusted the process. Not long after, I suppose a host of different looking animals or toys came sprinting from the back of an old Cotton Leaf tree. Two of them looked very similar to Teddy. They introduced themselves as Blimey and Mickey. Amfrodeth and Herlamen resembled Liz herself. Except, they had long ears, pointier nose, rosier cheeks, and Big bright wings. Cheesy was a giant blue Slime with an eye, nose and mouth! Barney slightly resembled a dog, but also a horse. Kaki and Gigi were somewhat like lavender flowers with pretty faces and legs.

“Ahoy mates, meet Liz and Liz meet Blimey, mickey, Amfrodeth, Cheesy, Barney, Kaki, Gigi and Herlamen.” As Liz greeted them with a warm smile, they all had something else going on in their tiny brains. How they were going to save their little world! “And mates, before we start our extremely intense mission, I’d like Liz to know about the story of how it all started. A young lady like her would find it quite fascinating story, I’d say.” spoke Teddy. Liz spoke up after a long silence, “Yes, I would love it! I would love to know the tale! It might help us form a solution, I’d rather say.” “Would you like a cuppa mink drink while you listen, Young lady?” asked Blimey. “What’s a mink drink, may I ask?” replied Liz. “Don’t you know what a mink drink is? Don’t you know where you came from? Where did you come from? How is it there? Is it hot? Cold? Humid?” and Kaki kept shooting questions until Teddy spoke up, “May I politely ask you to let the guest breathe in peace, Kaki! Um, sorry about that, Liz. And Kaki! No, they don’t have any of our drink in their world, they drink that transparent liquid. What was it called again…… Waner! Yes, Waner!” “No, Teddy, it’s called water.” cleared Liz.

“Anyways, who is going to explain the tale to Liz?” asked Cheesy. “I would love to,” said Amfrodeth in her lovely, sweet voice. “Then go on Amf!” said Teddy. “Well, then let’s get right into it! We have no time to waste, buddy!” replied Amfrodeth.

“The Story begins with all of us merrily playing around in Tinsin’s park….”
