This incident took place yesterday. A boy named ‘Idiom’ teased a boy named ‘Proverb’, saying that idioms are better than proverbs, but Proverb said proverbs are easy to understand so proverbs are better than idioms. Before this incident, both were best friends and never fought with each other.
Idiom thought to himself ‘All that glitters not gold’. Proverb thought to be friends with Idiom because he was thinking the proverb ‘One good turn deserves another’. But Idiom did not accept his friendship and became friends with Declarative, Exclamatory & Interrogative. Proverb felt like a ‘fish out of water’. Proverb bought Idioms a present which cost him ‘an arm and a leg’. As usual, Idiom refused to take the present. Suddenly it started raining cats and dogs. And luckily the present got by his friend was an umbrella so he took that and went home. Idiom thanked Proverb and one good turn deserved another. They became best friends ever.
