One day I was just reading a book and I came through this quote –
Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend – or a meaningful day.
Dalai Lama
and I thought I had some connection with it. It was funny to just have a connection with a quote but somehow I felt different.
So, I researched the author – Dalai Lama, and I found out that he was a spiritual leader of Tibet and he is considered a living Buddha.
Now, I want to tell you what I learned from this quote, what was the way I understood it.
According to my opinion, this means not to waste your time and spend it on something meaningful, something which will help you and others. It is totally ok to go spend some leisure time in the woods, but watching TV is not the same thing. A TV trashes you and doesn’t give any benefit, whereas the woods allow you to be closer to our Mother Earth.
It is ok to do anything that you feel will bring a good change to the way you and the people around you live.
Sometimes, it is good to watch TV when you need some information or news.
Now, it is up to you! Which kind of day you want – a meaningful one or a normal one.
