A ray of hope,
Gleams through the window,
As I wish to start my day.

As I get up,
The sun rays slowly,
Gently hit my face.

It sends an instant jolt of electricity,
It soothes me,
It makes me want to make every day,
Mine.

I pull my hair up,
In a messy bun,
Slide my feet into my,
Fluffy slippers.

With my morning so calm,
My day goes beautifully as well.

Every morning,
The same hope,
The same joy.

The same warmth,
The same comfort,
The same home.

My mind is like a beach,
It’s calm like the water,
Making me want to dive in and explore.

And it is also sandy,
Encouraging me to search through it,
To break my shell.

I want to explore,
What is within me,
What I need to find.

What part of me,
Has been found,
That needs to be kept safe.

A few things,
Feel like home,
Like the sound of rain.

The smell of a new book,
Scrutinizing a classic
Shakespeare play.

Sunflowers facing the sun,
Black roses shining because of water,
This is peace.
