Hi Mr. Koala

Hi Mr. Koala

I woke up with a big yawn, & everything around me seemed strange. The ceiling, the bed & everything had changed. My brain was going through files of memories. Then, I clashed and cragged and woke up.  I then remembered that I was in Australia, and today was the day I was going to explore the wildlife.

I had no time to waste. I picked a brown outfit, kind off like a frock, and to go with it I picked a brown hat. I packed my survival bag with tons of snacks and an extra pair of clothing. I was ready to leave. As I got out of the brown wooden door and raced out of the amazing hotel, my big white comfy car awaited there for me. I was impressed. as the car started moving slowly I was overwhelmed with the beautiful view.

Suddenly, the car caught up speed. I was totally confused. My mind was trying to increase the focus of my eyes. My eyes were trying to look outside the window. My heart growing fonder to see the beautiful view. My body was lifting up in amazement to reach into Australian wildlife.

I was starting to see things clearly, was it a miracle? Then I noticed the car has slowed down. I was so much into the view that I could not hear anything. Just then, I saw a beautiful, tall green hill. My eyes were wide open & I didn’t blink for even a bit. As the car moved closer I could see a tall man with a big smile awaiting there for me. I hopped out of the car & my mind was starting to go through files of memories. Alas! I remembered, the man was my travel guide!

I rushed to him & said. Hi

He was pleased. He had never seen someone as enthusiastic, as curious, as excited as I was. We slowly started moving towards the top of the hill.

Soon, I saw a small bear-like animal sleeping on a branch of a tree. I asked my guide what this animal was.

He said, “It’s a Koala. It’s only found in Australia & only eats eucalyptus leaves.” That is why I had not seen any in any other country. He continued, “these animals also smell like eucalyptus & they eat 2.5-pound eucalyptus leaves in a day.” I was amazed. He then said, “their life span is for 13 to 18 years if they are in the wild. They are herbivores & an adult weighs about 4 to 15 Kilograms.” I asked, ‘Do these furry animals come in different colors? He said that Koalas always have grey fur, cream-colored chests & strong clawed feet. He continued, ‘an adult Koala can grow around 60 to 85cm in length. They sleep for approximately 18 hours a day. That’s a lot of sleeping. I said. But, the Interesting fact is that they can run 32 km per hour. ‘Wow! That’s a lot as per their sleep. I said.

‘but after all are Koalas safe to carry?

Nice to know about Koala. I think they are safe on trees not in our hands. Let the wild animal be wild.
